“Skipovoy” and “Glavny” Shafts Connected at a Depth of 1,000 Metres

Connection of Two Mine Shafts

At the Zarmitan mine, an important stage in the development of the underground infrastructure has been completed: the “Skipovoy” and “Glavny” mine shafts have been connected at a depth of 1,000 metres.

To form this connection, the existing “Glavny” shaft was deepened to the 1,000-metre level.

The connection of the two vertical mine shaft structures is part of the development of the lower horizons of the Zarmitan deposit.

Deepening of the “Glavny” Shaft

Glavny is an existing mine shaft, the works on which provided for its further deepening.

As a result of the works carried out, the shaft was brought to a depth of 1,000 metres and connected with “Skipovoy”.

The project to deepen “Glavny” is part of Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O.'s confirmed portfolio of works at the Zarmitan mine.

The “Skipovoy” Shaft

Skipovoy is a separate vertical mine shaft built as part of the development of the lower horizons of the Zarmitan deposit.

During its construction, it earlier reached its own depth of 1,000 metres.

The 1,000-metre figure is thus confirmed for both facilities, but relates to different stages and different mine shafts.

Development of the Lower Horizons

The connection of “Skipovoy” and “Glavny” forms an interconnected vertical and underground infrastructure for the further development of the lower horizons of the Zarmitan deposit.

The works are carried out as part of the consistent development of the mine complex and its underground utilities.

The connection between the shafts makes it possible to integrate two separate mine shaft facilities into the overall infrastructure of the corresponding level.

Participation of Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O.

Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O. participated in the delivery of mine shaft projects at both facilities.

The company's confirmed portfolio at the Zarmitan mine includes the construction of the “Skipovoy” shaft and the deepening of the “Glavny” shaft.

Each facility is a separate project with its own scope of works and technical characteristics.

The works on “Skipovoy” and “Glavny” are part of the complex of confirmed projects of Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O. at the Zarmitan mine.

In addition to these facilities, the company is carrying out the construction of the No. 10 “Slepoy” vertical shaft.
