Contract Signed Between Bukhara Water Supply JSC and an International Consortium Including Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O.

A New Contract Signed
Bukhara Water Supply JSC has signed a contract with the international consortium Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O. & SMK Ulusal Insaat ve Ticaret AS.
The project relates to the development of water supply infrastructure in the Bukhara region and is being implemented with the participation of companies from the Czech Republic and Turkey.
The contract entered into force on 7 May 2025.
International Consortium
The consortium comprises Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O. and SMK Ulusal Insaat ve Ticaret AS.
Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O. represents the Czech side of the project, while SMK Ulusal Insaat ve Ticaret AS represents the Turkish side.
Water Supply Project in Romitan District
The project is being implemented in Romitan District, Bukhara Region, with the participation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
The contract provides for the construction and reconstruction of seven water supply facilities — Markaziy, O'tabek, Arabon, Mug'oncha, Chilong'u, Pulg'ushak and Xosa.
The construction of 334.7 kilometres of drinking water supply networks is also planned.
Participation of Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O.
Mine Construction Alliance S.R.O.'s participation in the international consortium expands the company's confirmed portfolio beyond mine construction.
In this project, MCA is taking part in the delivery of an infrastructure contract in the water supply sector.
Significance of the Project
The development of the drinking water supply system is linked to the modernisation of municipal infrastructure and improved reliability of water supply for the population of Romitan District.
The project is part of a broader portfolio of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in the Bukhara region, comprising 12 major projects — seven in drinking water supply and five in wastewater.
